DAE buys software firm

Dubai Aerospace Enterprise has paid $25m for Austria's Flugwerkzeuge Aviation Software, a privately held company that develops flight-planning software for airlines, reported Reuters. Kamilia Sofia, acting chief executive of DAE unit DAE Services, said airlines are looking for technologies that will help ease the burden or record oil prices. She said the software company will deliver 'immediate and substantial savings'.
