Dubai's daily Salik cap to be removed from July 15

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the daily Salik cap of Dhs24 or six trips, which has been in place since the introduction of the toll system in Dubai in 2007, will be abolished with effect from July 15, Gulf News has reported. Under the current system, motorists are charged for only six Salik trips per day irrespective of how many more trips they make. Now a motorist will charged for passing through a Salik gate without any limit.
