Egypt becoming a Golf destination

The World Travel and Tourism Council in Egypt is predicting close to an 8 per cent rise in tourism arrivals in the country over the past year, as a result of the increase in the number of golf tourists. There are already around 16 international standard golf courses currently operational across Egypt, including the Mena House Golf Course, which directly overlooks the Pyramids, and the Cascades Golf Resort on the Red Sea, with more coastal courses and golf resorts under development.

According to the very latest Golf Benchmark Survey from KPMG Golf Advisory Services, locations that offer an all year round course accessibility, such as Egypt and the UAE, are overtaking the more traditional destinations and are likely to become the most popular in the near future.
