Egypt tourist arrivals up 11.8%

The Egyptian cabinet has said the number of tourists visiting the country rose 11.8% in the first four months of 2013 from a year earlier, after falling by a third in the year after the uprising, Reuters has reported. The number of travellers visiting Egypt reached around four million during the period, and tourism revenue rose 16.2% to about $3.4bn, the cabinet said.
