Emirates announced expansion of its European network this week with two more destinations. Starting from Tuesday (September 2), Emirates will fly daily to Oslo, Norway, the third Scandinavian capital, Gulf News reported. "Norway's resilient economy is built on strong foundations including its dynamic oil, gas, fishing, telecom and maritime sectors," said Tim Clark, President, Emirates airline in a statement posted on the company's website. "We believe that Emirates' new Oslo service will stimulate further growth via trade, tourism and investment flows into the country… We also look forward to introducing new audiences to Oslo and drawing in visitors from a host of points across the global network including the UAE and destinations further East such as India, Pakistan, Thailand, China and Vietnam," Clark added. Already, Emirates has direct daily flights to Copenhagen in Denmark and Stockholm in Sweden. The daily Dubai-Oslo service is operated by Boeing 777-300ER, and will offer three cabin classes.
