The 2014 summer festival at the iconic Abu Dhabi Emirates Palace Hotel has achieved tremendous success as it has attracted thousands of visitors and tourists from within the UAE and other Gulf countries, according to its general manager Holger Schroth.
Mr Schroth thanked the hotel's board of directors for their continuous support of all events and activities organized and sponsored by Emirates Palace adding that they have largely contributed to increasing tourists' confidence in the hotel and Abu Dhabi's tourism sector.
He also lauded the 'fruitful' cooperation among all concerned parties, mainly the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, noting that this has contributed to the festival's success. He also referred to the strong collaboration with Flash company and stressed that Emirates Palace would continue to cooperate with this firm in organizing more events.
Mr Schroth the festival had lasted 62 days until Aug 29 and that a large number of celebrities had taken part, making it the most attractive festival organized by the hotel.
He said, "This boosted the hotel's occupancy rates above 60% in August to surpass the rates achieved during the same period in previous years." "We expect the hotel to continue recording high occupancy rates…Emirates Palace has become a favourite destination for GCC families in summer…we have given them much attention and ensured they would have the best time so they will come back again," he added.
Mr Schroth said, "Abu Dhabi had succeeded in becoming a major regional and global tourism destination thanks to the strong collaboration among the concerned parties including ADTCA, Etihad Airways, Emirates Palace and other groups." He stressed, "The importance of participating in all regional and international tourism events as they present a platform to highlight the hotel's services and offers."
He said, "Emirates Palace has become a 'tourism icon' on the global level and is playing a major role in promoting Abu Dhabi as a key tourism site on the regional and world levels."
