Abu-Dhabi based Etihad Airways plans to fly 30% more passengers this year as it starts more routes and expands its fleet, reported Bloomberg. CEO James Hogan said in an interview with the news agency that the airline will carry 6 million passengers this year, up from more than 4.6 million passengers in 2007. The carrier expects to increase the fleet to 51 planes by 2012 from 37 it had last year, Hogan said.
