Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, recently hosted a familiarization trip for a group of key Bahrain and Kuwait-based travel agents, giving them the opportunity to experience the airline's newest destination, Athens in Greece.
During the 4 day trip the 10 travel agents had the opportunity to travel on the national carrier's inaugural flight to Athens, experience a distinctive water cannon welcome in Athens International Airport along with a unique ribbon-bonding ceremony to commemorate the arrival of the first Gulf Air flight. Additionally, the travel agents visited some of the Greek capital's most iconic cultural and tourist attractions.
The participating agents also experienced the national carrier's onboard product and service offering - specifically, Gulf Air's Airbus A320-ER aircraft that, designed specifically for the airline, incorporates various elements of passengers' feedback and is the only aircraft of its kind in the world featuring full flat-bed seats, as well as being equipped with the airline's latest in-flight entertainment technology. They also enjoyed Gulf Air's luxurious Falcon Gold Lounge in Bahrain International Airport.
Gulf Air currently operates four weekly flights to Athens International Airport.
