Gulf Air suspends flights to Basra

Gulf Air has announced it has temporarily suspended its services to Basra in Iraq, citing "commercial reasons." The move comes one week after the Manama-based carrier deferred its services between Bahrain and Iran until further notice. The postponement has become necessary following the delay in receiving approval from the Iranian Civil Aviation Authority for the airline's flight schedule as permitted under the terms of the current bilateral agreement, Gulf Air said.
