Huawei's posts 18% rise in revenue from Mideast in 2012

China-based Huawei Technologies Co has said revenue from its Middle East operation jumped 18% to $2.08 billion in 2012, Reuters has reported. The Middle East accounted for 5.9% of Huawei's $35.35bn global revenue last year, up from 5.5% in 2011. Huawei defines the Middle East as incorporating the six GCC countries in addition to Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran.
