Jordan to see mobile phone penetration hit 200%

Arab Advisers Group has said mobile penetration in Jordan is expected to hit 200% in the next few years, up from 140% recorded at the end of 2012, Jordan Times has reported. "In the near future, cars, TVs and other devices will be connected to the internet and they need mobile SIM cards to connect to the internet; therefore, mobile subscriptions will grow," Jawad Abbassi, founder and general manager of the Arab Advisers Group, told the daily. "In addition, many mobile users in Jordan own more than one phone" and others own phones equipped with more than one SIM, he added.
