Kurdistan region reports nearly 70% rise in tourism

The tourism board of Iraq's Kurdistan Region has said the number of tourists visiting the semi-autonomous region rose 66%, comparison with last year's figures, AK news has reported. So far 941,000 tourists have visited the region this year. The board expects 2.5 million tourists to visit the region in 2012, said spokesperson Nadir Rosti.
