Kuwait's telecoms operators forgo transfer fee

Kuwait's three telecoms operators, Zain, Wataniya and Viva have agreed to forgo from July 15 a fee proposed by the communications ministry to be paid by clients when switching providers, Kuwait Times has reported. "All three companies have agreed not to charge additional fees for transferring providers, and instead pay the KD5 on their behalf to the company hired by the communications ministry to implement the transfer project," said Viva CEO, Salman Al-Badran.
