Lexus announced 21,598 units sold across the Middle East region during the first six months of 2014 - marking an increase of 20% over the corresponding period last year. With a strong emphasis on innovation, design and a refreshed model line-up that enhances the brand's appeal to younger and more adventurous buyers, Lexus has been making significant inroads into the region's fiercely competitive luxury car market, Zawya reported. Takayuki Yoshitsugu, Chief Representative of Middle East & North Africa Representative Office, Toyota Motor Corporation, said, "Lexus is constantly pushing the boundaries of automotive technology and design to develop vehicles that exhibit a seamless blend of luxury and performance. This has been a key driving force behind our sustained growth throughout the region. Our focus is on providing our customers with an ownership experience that is emotionally engaging and deeply satisfying to their senses, and it gives us great satisfaction to see that our new design direction has met with overwhelming customer acceptance all across the Middle East."
