Lufthansa cancels Mideast flights because of strike

A one-day strike planned by the Lufthansa's ground staff has forced the German carrier to cancel all its flights to the Middle East on Monday, Gulf News has reported. The flights affected in the UAE included one flight from Abu Dhabi and two flights from Dubai, the airline said. "All Middle East flights are cancelled and should be back on schedule on Tuesday," Lufthansa German Airlines' Director Group Communications for Southeast Europe, Middle East and Africa, Aage Dunhaupt told the daily.
