National Chemical Carriers adds new tanker vessel

National Chemical Carriers Co (NCC), a subsidiary of The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (BAHRI), has taken receipt of a new chemical tanker named from SHINAsb (previously SLS) of South Korea, as part of nine vessels previously contracted during 2006 - 2007 for a total value of approximately SR1.72bn, Saudi Gazette has reported. The new vessel, named NCC Najem, has a DWT of 45,000 tonnes with (DNV) classification and full (IMO 2) notations and cargo capacity of 53,200 cubic meters comprising (22) zink/epoxy coated cargo tanks with (20) full segregations.
