Oman Air posts 55% jump in passenger traffic on Muscat-Salalah route

Oman Air has reported a 55% year-on-year surge in traffic between Muscat and Salalah during the Eid al Adha holidays this year, Oman Daily Observer has reported. The airline offered a total of 28,441 seats during the Eid holiday, almost 10,000 more compared with the same period last year. The total number of passengers the airline carried on the route reached 23255, an increase of some 8295 over the corresponding period in 2011. Oman Air operated 42 extra flights on the domestic route between October 19 and November 3, in addition to the 172 scheduled services.
