Oman extends Muscat port concession by one year

Oman's Port Services Corp (PSC) has announced it has been granted an interim one-year extension of the concession agreement to operate and manage Port Sultan Qaboos in Muscat, Oman Daily Observer has reported. The port, which has been in operation since 1976, is due to be converted into a maritime heritage and tourism port, with commercial and cargo operations to be relocated to Port of Sohar.
