Oman to build 200km railway

Oman has appointed consultants to carry out a feasibility study to build a 200km railway network. It would be located in the Batinah region, running initially from Sohar to Birka in north Muscat, which would eventually be extended to Duqum. The six GCC countries are already in discussions to build a rail network linking the countries.
