Oman's landline subscriber base up 9.6%

Oman's National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) has said subscribers of fixed phone service in the sultanate rose 9.6% to 333,714 at the end of May 2013 from 304,545 in December 2012, Times of Oman has reported. The figures also indicated a rise of 1.8% in the number of subscribers of billed and pre-paid GSM service to 5,374,666 at the end of May 2013, compared with 5,277,591 at the end of 2012.
