Oman-based National Ferries Co (NFC), the coastal maritime transportation services provider of the sultanate, has announced it is to use Port Sultan Qaboos (PSQ) as a hub for its operations after the planned conversion of the capital's maritime gateway into a tourism port, Oman Daily Observer has reported. "In future, our base will be at Port Sultan Qaboos with a specific location allocated to our fast ferries within the converted port," said head of marketing and communications at NFC, Ghazi bin Abdullah al Zadjali. "There will also be new facilities built for our fleet, a factor that has already been taken into consideration by the government in the master planning of the tourism port," Al Zadjali added.
