Orascom weighing options to sell African operations

Orascom Telecom Holding (OTH) has said it is studying options for its operations in sub-Saharan Africa and may consider selling some or all of its assets there, Dow Jones has reported. The company is currently performing a strategic review and valuation assessment of its operations in Burundi, Zimbabwe and Central African Republic to identify, examine and consider a range of strategic alternatives. The options include, but are not limited to, a sale of all or a part of the operations in one or a series of transactions, OTH said, without providing more details.
