PAL seeking regulatory nod for Muscat-Manila service

Philippine Airlines is seeking regulatory approval to provide regular service between Manila and the Omani capital, Muscat, four times per week beginning January 30, 2014, Times of Oman has reported, citing aviation sources. Meanwhile, Oman Air is also seeking approval to operate scheduled air services between Muscat and Manila. Last month, the Philippines reportedly announced it was unable to grant Oman Air and Jet Airways of India landing rights between 7am and 7pm for regular flights to Manila due to congestion at Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
