Palazzo Versace, Gold Coast splendor coming soon to Dubai!

The first-ever Palazzo Versace luxury hotel is on the Gold Coast in Australia, and 50 per cent owned by the privately owned UAE group Enshaa which is also developing the second Palazzo Versace in the Dubai Culture Village through its joint venture with Emirates Sunland Group. AME Info visited the magnificent Gold Coast to find out what Dubai will soon be getting.

Step into the Palazzo Versace and you enter a world of unabashed luxury and the kind of interior design that brings a strong reaction. Vaulted ceilings are hand-detailed in gold and an antique chandelier lights the grand foyer.

Indeed, every detail of the architecture and decor, and the finest marbles and mosaics, speak volumes about a style and ambience that is pure Versace. This sensual elegance and classical design is very Italian and you either love it or hate it. But the effect is stunning.

The Gold Coast is also a fantastic location for this super hotel which is 100 metres from the surf beach and also overlooks the tranquil Broadwater which extends behind the beach and includes an extensive private marina.

    Classical elegance

All the guest rooms echo the classical theme with fine fabrics, textures and colors combined in the extravagant style of the house of Versace. Even the tea and coffee making facilities come with Versace china and the crystal glasses in the mini-bar and bathroom products are from Versace.

Be sure to ask for a bathroom with a separate door if you do not want a European style open bathroom, and for the last word in privacy choose one of the 39 condomiums available for private occupation with full service and access from the car park below.

Still the only fashion themed hotel in the world, the Palazzo is a favored choice for themed parties of the most exacting standards and also elaborate high society weddings. There is a ballroom to host up to 500 persons and a considerable range of conference and meeting rooms.

For fine dining AME Info can recommend the Vanitas premier restaurant with five or seven course degustation menus. Or try the two outdoor restaurants or the Il Barocco for an informal setting overlooking the shimmering lagoon and longest swimming pool in the southern hemisphere.

    Spa delights

Then you should not miss the Salus per Aquum Spa which comprises a gymnasium, personal training, yoga, tai chi, hydrotherapy, beauty and massage treatments, a hairdressing saloon and heated swimming pool, spa and steam rooms.

Finally there is inevitably the Versace Boutique with accessories, fragrances, cosmetics, home-style collections and of course the latest in fashion from Milan.

Clearly the Burj Al Arab and Emaar's Armani hotel in the Burj Dubai are going to have some tough competition from the Palazzo Versace when it opens in Dubai. This hotel is a design museum and cultural icon that will not be at all out of place as the centerpiece of the Dubai Culture Village.

And if you are heading for the Gold Coast of Australia then this is the finest place to stay to experience the amazing theme parks, golf courses, shopping, sports and rainforest that have made this region very popular with Arab visitors since Emirates Airline began its daily flights into Brisbane, and premium class travel is recommended as an excellent compliment to staying in this superlative hotel.
