Porsche posts 24% increase in October global sales

German sports car maker, Porsche has reported a 24.1% growth in global sales during the month of October, compared with the same month last year. Porsche delivered a total of 116,050 cars to customers, an increase of 15.6%, compared with January to October 2011. The best seller among the Porsche models continues to be the Cayenne, the carmaker said In October alone, the company sold 6,897 SUVs, or 34.2% more than the same month last year. The 911-series also outperformed the previous year's figures, with an increase of 30.8% in new cars sold, while Boxster sales had more-than-tripled to 1,149 vehicles, compared with October 2011.
