RAK wants 2.5 million tourists

Ras Al Khaimah wants to increase its annual tourism numbers from 500,000 to 2.5 million by 2012. Speaking at the MEED Ras Al Khaimah conference in the emirate Hilary McCormak, RAK Tourism Manager, said the current 1,400 five star hotel rooms available would rise to 7,500 over the period and that within a decade it would have at least 30 hotels.
