Saudi Arabia investing SR7bn in tourist projects this year

The Saudi government is spending more than SR7bn this year on a number of tourism and heritage projects in various regions of the kingdom, Arab News has reported. The projects include rehabilitation of tourist and heritage sites, roads, tourist cities, parks, gardens, museums, airport expansion and others. The value of private sector projects for the development of tourism in the country amounts to SR3.5bn, the government said. The projects include commercial and recreational complexes, resorts, hotels, exhibitions, festivals and private museums.
