Saudi firm to invest $154m in Sri Lanka dockyard

Saudi-based Hadi Hamad Al-Hammam Group is set to spend a total of $154m to set up a dockyard in Sri Lanka's Galle Port to build and repair vessels for Sri Lanka and the Maldives, Sunday Observer has reported. The company will invest $44m under the first phase, and hopes to invest $110m under the second phase, providing a total of 6,500 direct job opportunities.
