Saudi tourism generated SR17bn in revenues since 2008

Prince Sultan bin Salman, president of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) has said tourism festivals in the kingdom have generated more than SR17bn in revenues over the past eight years, Arab News has reported. "These festivals drew a record crowd of 55 million over the past eight years," said the SCTA chief. The government body spent SR60m to organise the festivals, the prince said.
