SCTA proposes $1.33bn fund to promote tourism

The Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) has proposed a SR5bn ($1.33bn) fund to promote tourism in the kingdom, Arab News has reported. The proposed fund is to finance tourism projects with interest-free loans that are paid in annual instalments. The easy loans would be extended to finance hotel buildings, children's parks, entertainment facilities, and training of tourism guides, said the SCTA.
