Sultan Abdullah Al Mualla, the director general of the Sharjah municipality has said 42 plots of land have been assigned to help ease parking problems in the central region, The National has reported. Dedicated areas will also be built for lorries in industrial areas 3, 11, 12, and 18, and the Sajja industrial zone, he said. The municipality would also start issuing Dhs200 fines to motorists who wrongly park over two bays. The penalties would be enforced from next month in Al Majaz, Jamal Abdul and Nasser Road areas, among others, Al Mualla said.
