Sharjah sets up 125 new bus stops

Sharjah Transport has said it has built 125 of 540 planned new shaded bus stops in 12 areas across the city this year so far, as part of the first phase of its five-phase project, Khaleej Times has reported. The second stage of the project will see 170 new bus stops to be installed in 2013, which will help provide better shuttle service to the public, said Abdullah Al Zari, director general of Sharjah Transport. "The 125 bus stops completed are located in Al Qaraen, Maliha Road, Al Falah, Al Azra, Al Falaj, Al Ramtha, Al Suwaihat, Al Dasman, Al Abar, Al Yashi, Al Rifaa and Al Talaea areas," he said.
