Three firms bid for Oman's 1,061km railway project's design contract

The contract for consultancy services for preliminary design of Oman's national railway project has attracted bids from three engineering and consultancy firms, Muscat Daily has reported. The companies are the National Engineering Office, an independent Omani multi-disciplinary firm, Italferr, the Italian State Railways Group engineering firm, and DB International GmbH, a German engineering and consultancy firm. The selected consultant will be responsible for the provisional design of the complete infrastructure and systems covering all segments of initial 1,061km national railway project.
