Complex Made Simple

Ajman’s mega project

Al Zorah unveils a mega project located on the coastline of Ajman.

The project of Al Zorah Development Company is spread over an area of 5.4 million square metres surrounded by natural mangroves and seafront. The resort is set to welcome residents and visitors in a well-organised community focused on sustainable energy.

Developers seem to be keen on having nature take centre stage in the development, this is what Nasser Chammaa, CEO of Solidere International, the company that planned and drafted the project, confirms in a statement. “Our vision for Al Zorah is inspired from its serene natural attributes. We have been waiting for this exciting moment to start offering our future tenants and investors the opportunity to experience Solidere International’s refined Places for Life.”

The complex is set to welcome a golf court, a shopping centre along with different lifestyle project following the company’s philosophy.

“The Peninsula, interconnected by a network of pedestrian passages, features an entertainment complex, a marina, Al Zorah souks and a lifestyle centre. The Creekside is a residential and hotel quarter with direct access to the waterfront promenade, the marinas and mangrove exploration trail,” explains Al Zorah in a statement.

This project follows the will of the emirate, with the Ajman 2021 vision, to promote itself as an alternate destination.

“The Ajman 2021 vision is an initiative aimed at putting Ajman on the map. We are willing to differentiate ourselves from the other emirates and become an alternative destination for travellers inside and outside the country. Ajman will offer luxury standards for family vacations and cultural tourism at affordable price,” says Abeer Al Housani, director of strategy at ATDD.

The emirate started this initiative in 2011; the lengthy process has a long-term goal of improving facilities and classifying tourism outlets as per international standards.

Additionally, Ajman hotel revenues reached more than AE 150 million in 2013, when compared with AED123m in 2012, according to Faisal Al Nuaimi, general manager of ATDD.

The ATDD expresses a strong determination to improve Ajman tourism and open the emirate to the world. A key factor to achieve this is collaboration with local stakeholders such as Al Zorah.
