The American tech giant collaborated with the French luxury brand to launch the Apple Watch Hermès collection.
Tim Cook, Apple’s chief executive, unveiled the luxurious smartwatch to the world during the company’s product event, held in San Francisco on Wednesday, September 9, 2015.
The collection includes three different bands – all hand-made by Hermès. Different band colours will be available, including capucine, bleu jean, étain and fauve, among others. The most modest design in the collection boasts a 38mm stainless steel case with a ‘single tour’ (single band), and will retail at $1,100.
From then on, prices increase. The larger 42mm stainless steel case with a single band is priced at $1,150, $1,250 for the 38mm ainless steel case with the Double Tour and $1,500 (US) for the 42 mm stainless steel case with the Cuff.
The watches will be available for purchase in October at selected Apple stores, select Hermès stores, specialty stores and department stores, across Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Korea, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, the UK and the US.
Apple also launched a new line-up for the Apple Watch, scheduled to be available in markets starting September 16.
