Complex Made Simple

The Armani Group cotinues to expand into the luxury segment of the travel retail market

The Armani Group is pleased to announce the opening of two new Giorgio Armani boutiques – one at Hamad International Airport in Doha and the other in the downtown duty free shop Ever Rich, in Kinmen, Taiwan.

Opened in October, the Giorgio Armani boutique in Doha covers an area of over 190 square metres and is located in the luxury area of the airport’s South Node. Entirely dedicated to ready-to-wear collections and accessories for men and women, the boutique is characterised by a refined and intimate feel. Brushed silk, which is the main material used in the boutique, walls lined with special fabric panels and contrasting backlit onyx, floors finished with beige polished stone and large Armani/Casa greige linen carpets add an intimate and refined touch, while a visually striking, shiny faux-finished ceiling emphasises the boutique’s sophisticated and elegant atmosphere. Invisible downlights outline the space and shine a direct light onto the garments and accessories on display.

The Giorgio Armani boutique opened at the downtown duty free shop Ever Rich Golden Lake Plaza, Kinmen, Taiwan, covers an area of 247 square metres and offers clothing and accessories for men and women, including fragrances and eyewear. Featuring natural stone floors and elegant marmorino walls, the boutique is enriched with bamboo details in mirror-effect steel with satin textured finishes.

The tables are made of teak topped with black glass, while the area devoted to leather accessories has clear glass shelves, making the products on display look as if they are floating in the air. Made of perforated polished steel, the exterior façades have been designed to match the bamboo pattern that characterises the interior. Finally, on the two main entrance doors are two large video walls projecting images of the season’s collections.

In addition to those at Doha and Kinmen, the Armani Group opened two more Giorgio Armani boutiques in 2014, one at the Haitang Bay International Shopping Complex and one at Milan’s Malpensa Airport, Terminal 1. In keeping with its strategy of selective expansion, the Travel Retail division boasts a total of five Giorgio Armani boutiques today, including the Giorgio Armani boutique at DFS Four Season in Macao.
