Complex Made Simple

‘Dress for the job you want, not the job you have’

“Dress for the job you want, not the job you have.” This popular saying has been reiterated time and again and undeniably, what we wear has a big effect on how we are perceived by others.

In today’s world, however, there is no “one size fits all” dress code that ultimately screams success.

Individualism is becoming increasingly embraced throughout the working world and the iconic “suit and tie” is becoming almost obsolete in many industries, with one 2018 UK study suggesting only one in ten people now wear a suit to work.

Success comes in many shapes and forms, so why shouldn’t our wardrobe?

Applying this theory to his own working wardrobe, Ebraheem Al Samadi, Founder, and CEO of Forever Rose London shares his “go to” pieces to convey that air of success, with style, authority, personality, and comfort.

It’s all in the shirt

Shirts have always been the focal point of a successful business look.

However, there is no need to stick to the traditional white or plain-colored options when you can opt for vivid patterns and colorful textures, such as the colors chosen in Koty designs

The staple blazer

Success comes from thinking outside the box and differentiating yourself from the pack.

Instead of opting for the standard black or navy blazer, why not go against the grain and choose something bright instead; such as the designs of the luxurious Moët Hennessy and Louis Vuitton.

It will liven up the outfit and make sure you stand out from the crowd.

Denim for business attire has for the most part been frowned upon – but who says denim is a “no-no” when trying to reflect success and style? Only the risk-averse – and it’s usually the risk takers who go down in the history books!

Stick with a classic denim style, sans rips, in whichever colour takes your fancy.

Pair it with a crisp oxford shirt, blazer, and Patek Philippe designer watch, and you are good to go.

Thinking sneakers?

Picture a typical busy day where you are on your feet, running around on errand after errand.

We all have those days and the last thing you want on your feet is a pair of uncomfortable heels or constricting cap toes.

Nowadays, the sneaker game has really stepped up (excuse the pun).

With comfort comes determination, a trait vital to success.
