BIBF has recently held a workshop for Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society (BBS), under the theme of ‘Personal Effectiveness for Female Leaders’.
The workshop was attended by more than 50 delegates representing Bahraini women leaders.
The workshop, which came as part of Bahraini Women’s Day celebrations, was organised in line with BBS objectives of supporting businesswomen’s leadership skills. The workshop highighted modern leadership practices in relation to women’s contributions in the business sector, covering topics such as self-inventory, leadership, emotionally intelligent leadership, leadership branding, time management and stress management.
BIBF Senior Lecturer and researcher in the field of management Dr. Vijaya Moovala facilitated the workshop and stressed the importance of inspiration and integrity in leadership roles.
“The key concept for defining the personality of a leader is through leadership branding, and by making the leadership brand visible and marketable through integrity and inspiration,” she added.
At the end of the workshop, BIBF Deputy Director Dr Ahmed Al Shaikh, BBS President Mrs Ahlam Janahi, and BBS board member Mrs Afnan Al Zayani presented the participants with certificates of attendance.
