Forbes Middle East launches ‘Business Leaders Inspiring The UAE’

Revealing the top entrepreneurs who are shaping the future of the region

Earlier this year His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, announced that 2015 is the Year of Innovation.

Inspired by this, Forbes Middle East is for the first time unveiling two new rankings focused specifically on Emiratis and Dubai-based startups that are pushing the boundaries of the business world and growing internationally. The lists will be unveiled on 19 October at an exclusive gala and dinner in Dubai.

The list of the Up and Coming Entrepreneurs in the UAE ranking Emirati business leaders looks at 2014 revenue, number of locations in and outside UAE, number of employees, date of establishment, brand recognition and innovation.

The list of The Most Promising UAE Based Startups that chose UAE as the perfect place to launch their businesses looks at the amount of money raised, investor perception, executive team, market reach, website ranking and number of employees.

Along with Forbes Middle East, present and supporting the event are valuable partners including: Islamic banking partners Dubai Islamic Bank, Rasasi Perfumes, leading fragrance company in the Middle East, regional travel and tourism leader Al Tayyar Travel Group, official media partner Al Ittihad, travel and tourism companies, Elegant Resorts and Elite Executive Services Company (EES), exclusive radio partner Al Oula Radio 107.4 and exclusive television partner Dubai One.

Mrs. Khuloud Al Omian, Editor-in-Chief, Forbes Middle East, said: “The UAE is leading the way in offering a wealth of support and initiatives to help new businesses and entrepreneurs enter the market. In doing so it is encouraging innovation and change that is continuing to diversify our economies and put the Middle East at the forefront of new technologies. Our rankings are one way for us to show our continued support and appreciation of this sector, as well as recognizing the impressive achievements of the individuals.”
