Sharjah Tatweer Forum, a non profit organization focusing on global, regional and domestic issues of importance to the Emirate of Sharjah as well as the UAE, will host an innovation initiative called Innovation Management for Emerging Leaders from November 23-25 2015. This program explores the problems and possibilities when leading an organizational change effort.

Members of the Sharjah Tatweer Forum as well as independent professionals are called to participate and learn the stages of concern that individuals experience when dealing with change and why they resist the same.

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce is also a key supporter of this initiative and will be actively participating in all the sessions and workshops related to Innovation Management. The University of San Diego will conduct the workshop and participants will be receiving a certificate upon completion of all the modules.

Marking the announcement, Mr. Jassem Mohammed Hassan Al Bloushi, Chairman of Sharjah Tatweer Forum said, “We have always been at the forefront when it comes to adopting or initiating the Innovation trend. Our motive is in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah and the Honorary Chairman of STF, that is to shape the young minds of our country. Keeping this in mind, Sharjah Tatweer Forum is committed to providing platforms such as the Innovation Management Program, which aims to engage and bring about a structured approach in coping with innovation development in a work place.”

Prominent lecturer and practitioner from the University of San Diego, Dr. Haney Hong, will be sharing his insights and expertise and the outcome is aimed at providing a novel learning opportunity for the participants.

The Innovation Management for Emerging Leaders Program includes change management strategies, alignment of organizational systems, and theories of change. The main intent of this course is to design and develop a tool kit of sorts, with strategies and models to help make change comfortable or even exciting for others in the work place. Teaching methods include simulations, videos, lecture, small group discussion, and facilitator-assisted analysis of the group’s learning.

The Sharjah Tatweer Forum encourages its members to contribute suggestions, ideas, projects, entrepreneurial enterprises, activities and voluntary social outreach programs. In exchange, members are provided with the opportunity to join world-class certified programs, business accelerator services, a platform to network as well as a stage for pitching ideas and business ventures. The Forum’s focus includes promoting innovation and knowledge economy, facilitating the implementation of viable projects that support sustainable development, fostering partnerships between civil society and the public and private sectors and initiating public awareness and outreach programs that advance volunteerism and corporate social responsibility.
