We asked Ahmad the following 7 questions. Here are his responses:

1 – What is the first thing that you do in the morning?

Most days, I am up about 3.30am. I get up and pray first thing. Then I’ll fire up my emails, have a look at what I’ve been sent and reply. Then I’ll gorge on toast, orange juice and on aerospace/aviation news.

2 – What is the best piece of business advice that has been given to you?

To think more than twice about making any decisions and to decide via the head, not the heart.

3 – If today was your last day on Earth, how would you spend it?

I’d be indoors with my wife and kids….and Domino’s Pizza, assuming of course that they deliver!!

4 – Who was the last person that you messaged and what did it say?

It was to my cousin and I simply said, “no worries”. (For context, I’d picked up the tab at a restaurant meal we went to and he thanked me.)

5 – If you could buy a one-way ticket anywhere it would be to. . .

Any of the idyllic Atolls in the South Pacific to get away from it all!

6 – What do you want tomorrow’s business world to look like?

Given the constant evolution of commerce, I’d like to see political red-tape removed from business decisions that make the difference between a deal happening or not at all. Governmental interference, even at a low level, is nothing but a hindrance when it comes to investment.

7 – Tell us something that not many people know about you. . .

I have a passion for hill/mountain climbing. Next on my agenda is cave diving.
