Tourist arrivals from the United Kingdom to Egypt grew to 724,000 during the period from January to September, according to statistics.
This is compared with 670,000 tourists during the same period in 2014, says the statistics issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), reports Egypt-based Youm7.
The total number of tourist nights during the nine months of 2015 increased to 7.5 million, compared with 6.8m during the same period last year, according to the statistics.
CAPMAS says that March saw the highest influx of tourist arrivals from the United Kingdom, which amounted to 98,000, compared with 80,000 during the same period last year, followed by July with 86,000 tourists compared with 83,000 last year.
It is noteworthy that the total number of tourists coming to Egypt from all over the world reached 7.4m from January to September, compared with 7.1m tourists during the same period last year.
