The annual revenues of hotels and leisure sector in the UAE are predicted to hit about AED 40 billion by 2019, according to Euromonitor International.
The report highlighted positive indications that the sector will double its growth from what it was in 2013, Albayan reports.
Issam Kazim, Chief Executive Officer, Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), said that the hotels are the most important element in Dubai’s tourism infrastructure, pointing out that the vision for Dubai Tourism 2020 is to receive 20 million visitors a year from the beginning of the next decade.
In a related matter, the Telegraph newspaper named Dubai as one of the top ten destinations for British families to spend their holiday in October.
The London-based newspaper said that Dubai is one of the best destinations to enjoy the October sun, despite the high temperatures and congestion at this time of year.
However, the trip, which takes seven hours, may be the best destination for those who have grown children, or those who have small children.
