Al Bustan Centre and Residence, the popular hotel-apartment among tourists and businessmen in the heart of Dubai, recently organized a dialogue on public health as part of the property’s corporate and social responsibility program.
Based on the topic “Posture and Muscoloskeletal Problems”, the symposium was presided by Dr. Oomen Mathew Arikupurathu, Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon of Mediclinic Al Qusais and Ms. Liza Ortiz, Director of Human Resources of Al Bustan Centre and Residence, who also manages the hotel’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
Different topics on posture, its advantages ways and preventions, and the physical and health impact that varies from each individual were discussed during the dialogue. Dr. Mathew stressed the importance of having a good posture in order to avoid unwanted stress, and to avoid body injuries. Various exercises and stretching activities were also demonstrated during the seminar.
