Al Tayyar Travel Group makes mark at ATM 2015

With a capital increase to two billion Saudi riyals, the group is enabling multiple travel and tourism initiatives, being a significant contributor to the socio—economic development of the region.

Al Tayyar Travel Group (ATG), the largest travel and tourism company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is all set to make its presence felt in the global tourism event, the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, UAE this year.

An exclusive press conference was hosted by Al Tayyar Travel Group at Ritz-Carlton, DIFC where the executive team shared growth and development business updates.

Echoing the key message of the group at the ATM that Al Tayyar Travel Group is ‘More Than a Travel Agency’, Al Tayyar Travel Group is focusing on strengthening business relationships with worldwide industry partners.

The company is growing at a brisk pace. With a capital increase to two billion Saudi riyals, the group is enabling multiple travel and tourism initiatives, being a significant contributor to the socio—economic development of the region.

Over the past 24 months, the group has invested extensively in hospitality assets in Makkah specifically, which is in line with the group’s strategy to capture a sizable market share in the religious tourism market. Al Tayyar Travel Group as a company continues to invest in Aviation, Travel, Tourism, Cargo, Car Rental and other travel related businesses.

Speaking of their presence at the ATM, Francis Dharmai, Head of Tourism and Regional General Manager said, “ATM is the largest travel trade show in the Middle East and one of the largest globally. Al Tayyar Travel Group this year features one of the largest stands by a Travel Company at ATM. We are proud to have more than 22 partner-companies from across the globe, coming together to exhibit at the show. In addition to the Al Tayyar Travel Group stand we are also exhibiting at the Malaysia, Egypt and Saudi Arabia stands.”

Francis added, “Over the four days at ATM we will be meeting with key hotel partners and suppliers from around the world renewing and signing new agreements. We are looking forward to meeting with tourism boards from Oman, Qatar, Jordan and more countries and scout for collaborative opportunities.”

From a people development perspective, over past years the group has employed in excess of 400 nationals in various positions and business streams in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and continues to provide excellent job opportunities both for fresh graduates as well as experienced professionals. They have launched a new program for future managers at the job fair held for Saudi graduates in London.

The objective of the program is to identify potential candidates who will be trained and inducted into strategic management positions within the company. ATG’s global presence provides job opportunities to travel professional in the Middle East, Europe, North Africa, US, Canada and the Asian Sub Continent.

Overall the conglomerate has aggressive growth plans with acquisitions and new initiatives across GCC and MENA regions. Significant B2C initiatives are in the pipeline, announcements for which are expected later this year. Over the last one year the Al Tayyar Travel Group has invested and completed multiple acquisitions including deals in Saudi Arabia and Europe. The group invested in Travel Companies, Car Rental, Hotels & Real Estate, Travel Technology in the Middle East, North Africa and Europe.
