Prior to joining the Rotana family in 2008, Alan Snyman held eminent positions in culinary departments from other prestigious hotel chains and restaurants for more than 15 years, primarily in South Africa, Saudi Arabia and UAE. With his extensive 20 years of experience in the field of dining, banqueting and conferences, Rotana is confident that Alan will successfully keep up with the currently changing culinary demands. His unique kitchen supremacy background will bring diverse and extraordinary flavours to a whole new level of innovative culinary approach, and is strongly believed to contribute to the success of Yas Island Rotana and Centro Yas Island.

Born in South Africa with a rich appreciation of Spanish heritage, Chef Alan Snyman holds a degree on Professional Cookery Course from Stellenbosch University in South Africa. His expertise of leading stronger teams will provide excellent foundation in terms of kitchen operations and constantly deliver exquisite dining experiences to guests, as he quoted, “Good food doesn’t only mean high quality and value for money but, it is as much as the trust between the guest and the chef.”
