Qatar’s Alijarah Holding has said it has cancelled plans to acquire Petro Qatar, as negotiations broke down, Gulf Times has reported. “The board decided to discontinue the said acquisition due to the breakdown of negotiations between Petro Qatar,” a company spokesman said. In March this year, Alijarah Holding had announced acquisition of Petro Qatar and Al Nasr Driving School after it was discussed at an extra-ordinary general assembly of shareholders. Petro Qatar had won the tender submitted by Mowasalat ‘Karwa’ to run its own fleet of 500 taxis.
