Asry looks to long term fleet repair and offshore market

Bahrain-based Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard (Asry) has said it is eyeing more long-term fleet repair agreements and the offshore market, Daily Tribune has reported. The yard is keen on deals with leading global shipowners similar to the four-year fleet repair agreement signed with Maersk recently, said Asry chief executive, Chris Potter. The company is also focussing on fabricating topsides for floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels, which are used by the offshore oil and gas industry for the processing of hydrocarbons, Potter said.
