Big Bus Tours, the largest independent operator of open-top sightseeing tours in the world, has announced the launch of its latest operation in the ‘Oasis City’ of Al Ain. The new tour will start operating on 2nd December 2015, National Day in the United Arab Emirates.
The recently added destination to Big Bus Tours’ portfolio includes a full panoramic day tour covering eight key landmarks in Al Ain, such as Al Qattara, Hili Fort, Hili Tomb, Qasr Al Muwaiji, National Museum, Al Ain Palace and Al Jahili Fort.
The Al Ain Panoramic Day Tour includes an English-speaking guide and a free intercity shuttle departing daily from Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Passengers will get the opportunity to sit back and explore the beautiful, lush green oasis landscape, archaeological sites, tombs, palaces, souks, mosques, and oasis plantations. Mike Lees, General Manager of Big Bus Tours Middle East, said: “I am proud to announce the City of Al Ain as our fifth and latest addition to our Middle East portfolio, following Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Muscat. This confirms Big Bus Tours as a regional leader and a key market player within the sightseeing industry.
“We are happy to provide the premium sightseeing experience within the UAE and Abu Dhabi in particular. Al Ain enjoys a rich history and accordingly we saw a good opportunity to commence operations within the city.”
Sultan Al Dhaheri, Acting Executive Director of Tourism, Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi), added: “We are pleased to collaborate with Big Bus Tours and thrilled to provide tourists with the opportunity to explore the beauty of the city of Al Ain, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
