BMW sales climb 13% in Middle East

BMW Group Middle East has said its sales grew 13% in the first half of this year, compared with the same period in 2011, Emirates 24-7 has reported. The German luxury carmaker delivered a total of 10,352 BMW and MINI vehicles during the period to customers across 14 markets in the Middle East. The UAE remained the highest volume selling market in the Middle East, accounting for 51% of BMW and MINI regional sales in the first half of this year, followed by Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Markets that showed good individual sales increases included Oman which grew by 38%, Kuwait 25%, Qatar 21%, Jordan 10%, Lebanon 8% and Saudi Arabia by 4%.
